Healing with rhythm & sound
Sound healing uses a variety of frequencies and tone.
Drumming practices are rhythmic and repetitive with monotonic or simple overtones. Made from animal hide and wood, they produce low frequency sounds with earthy, resonant and primal qualities.
In contrast singing bowls produce sustained and harmonic sounds with layers of complex, high frequency overtones that create a rich and immersive landscape. Mostly made from metal, their sound qualities are resonant and etheral.
